COAST TO COAST - The Big Cycle

The Full Story
Born from purpose and powered by people, MacGregor’s Coast-to-Coast cycle began as a bold fundraising journey across the Highlands in support of the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation. What started as a small idea—bringing together a band of musicians, friends and familiar faces from the bar—quickly grew into something extraordinary, joined along the way by Rob Wainwright, one of Scotland’s most respected rugby figures, who captained his country and later became a driving force behind fundraising efforts for motor neuron disease following the diagnosis of his close friend, Doddie Weir. We set out hoping to raise £5,000; together, we raised nearly £40,000. The route itself winds through landscapes rich in history and legend, with points of historical interest at every turn and some of the most breathtaking views in Scotland. It was a ride filled with music, camaraderie and the wild beauty of the Highlands—and because we believe in keeping people active, connected and inspired, and because so many loved the experience, we’re now proud to offer it as a signature MacGregor’s journey: our Coast-to-Coast Inverness to Oban (or Oban to Inverness) cycle route, ready for you to ride the story yourself.
