MacGregor's Bar Inverness ; Scotland's modern-day bar, is now the place for an adventure in taste, in culture and music. Its a gathering place to share stories, life and laughter, whilst savouring some of the best food and drink produced in Scotland.

It is in the truest form ; the Ceilidh house and most definitely #morethanabar

Here's a clip from our now legendary Sunday traditional music session

A bar for the romantic, the philosopher and the thinker, the musician the poet and the artist.  A haven for those brave enough to try something new.

We are passionate and proud about Scotland's history and culture, and just as importantly, we are excited about Scotland's leading role in the craft beer and spirit revolution. We rejoice in the way our chefs enhance our natural larder using the flare of the world's finest culinary experts. Ask any of the staff for advice on beers, spirits or food and drink pairings. They love to help.

We are also the 'spiritual' home of the Inverness whisky and gin festival, run the regular "Highland malt whisky experience" and are the sister bar to the multi - award winning venue, Bogbain Farm.

MacGregor's - Where Scotland welcomes the world.

We had a quite phenomenal end to last year. The bar took home top awards for “Best Concept Venue” at the prestigious Scottish Licensed Trade Awards in Glasgow, “Best pub” at the Highland Tourism Awards and “Best New Business” at the Highland Business Awards.

The awards are great for all at MacGregor’s and recognises the immense efforts that have been made by the team. It’s always nice when those efforts are recognised by judges throughout the country.

It also gives a boost to all those who have invested in the bar through our crowd-funding campaign and shows that we are on the right track with our plans.

Scotland is producing outstanding beers and we are delighted to be working wth some of the leading brewers. We change our line-up regularly from Orkney ales to Speyside pilsners to Cromarty IPAs, meaning there will always be something for your taste buds to enjoy. Click HERE for a list of today's beers.

For the more intrepid we'd like to introduce you to our Beer Tasting Menus. Born from a whimsical evening amongst friends exploring the local craft beers. The order of the drinks has been set so every drink compliments the next in flavour profile. The beers have been handpicked to represent our featured Scottish Breweries to give a taste of what we offer, and hopefully introducing you to something new.

At MacGregor's, music is an incredibly important part of who we are. Our founder, Bruce MacGregor, is not only one of the original and current members of Scottish supergroup Blazin Fiddles, the presenter of BBC Scotland's Travelling Folk, but also one of Scotland's finest traditional musicians. You'll often find Bruce and his friends playing tunes in our bar, not only during our Sunday afternoon sessions, but throughout the rest of the week as the mood takes them.

There's also regular nights with singers, pianists and musicians of all genres. See the Events page for details.

Pop in and see us as we love to chat, but if you're not in the neighborhood give us a call.
