Raibeart Ruadh MacGriogair; 7 March 1671 – 28 December 1734 Quite possibly the most iconic Scottish character of all time. There are books, films, operettas, an overture, a football club and even a cocktail created in his memory A highly cultured man he was renowned for his ability with the sword (and his extremely long arms!) and his role in “protection” of the gentry’s cattle.
